Teaching Artist Community Building & Healing Through Playback

Come to be nourished and to experience the joy and healing of Playback Theatre. Playback Theatre is a unique improvisational form that invites participants to share stories from their lives, then watch them enacted on the spot by an acting and music ensemble. It invites participants into a brave and celebratory performance experience inspired by real life moments. During this workshop, Teaching Artists are invited to join their peers and to share stories from the work inside and outside the classroom. Through the Playback form and through intentional reflection, we’ll become more connected as a TA community while digging deeper into the spirit of our work in schools and communities.
