Standards Based Lesson Planning (Two-part workshop)

Deirdre Moore, an experienced educator with a teaching background encompassing general education, arts education, teaching artistry and professional development, will be leading these sessions on Standards-Based Lesson Planning with the California Arts Standards. A master teaching artist can bring the magic of artmaking together with the intentionality of standards-based learning. Participants will become familiar with the arts standards and with creating lesson plans using those standards to empower their students to articulate their own learning and to better communicate the richness of student learning with classroom teachers and administrators.
