Restorative & Transformative Justice in the Classroom

During this Professional Development Workshop, Catherine Hanna Schrock, Imagine's Director of Programs will guide participants into an understanding of the purpose and principles of Restorative Justice (RJ) and Transformative Justice (TJ) and how they apply to schools and classrooms specifically. As TJ and RJ concepts surpass any one setting, Teaching Artists will learn about taking on a Transformative Mindset when engaging their students and the world at large. Participants will look at tools and processes to apply to their own classrooms and will also specifically look at how to apply TJ and RJ when various classroom management and conflict challenges arise.
